A TEENAGER has been charged following a roof-top stand-off in Newton Aycliffe.
Police were called to a disturbance at 10.40am, on Sunday, between two men at The Roundhouse Sports and Lounge Bar, at the town's Thames Centre.
Inspector Mark Edwards said by the time officers reached the scene, a male had climbed onto the roof of the shopping centre.
Negotiators were requested and the male came down at about 12.40pm.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested following the incident and has since been charged with a public order offence and theft.
He was released on bail and is due to appear at Newton Aycliffe Youth Court on August 10.
