VINTAGE vehicles will be descending on a County Durham castle next month.

That's as Raby Castle, near Staindrop, prepares to hold its next classic cars day on Sunday, August 12.

More than 500 classic vehicles are expected to turn out with a packed programme including displays of classic cars and lovingly-restored commercial vehicles such as motorbikes, classic Land Rovers, vans and tractors.

A highlight will be a display of more than 150 high-end classics on the Jaguar Drivers Club Stand, as well as many other club stands including Aston Martin, Rolls Royce and Sporting Bears. A horse-carriage museum and refreshments will also be available.

The show will be held from 10am to 4pm and well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Entry is £7.50 for adults and £2.50 for children and includes free parking, access to the park, gardens, restaurant, and museum. Castle admission can be included at £12 for adults and £6 for children.Organiser Mark Woodward said: “The June show at Raby was incredible, and wonderful to see so many families enjoying the photo opportunities to capture some great memories. I can’t wait to return to Raby and see more people in awe of these beautiful cars up close, in such a spectacular setting.” For more visit rabycastle.com
