HUNDREDS of youngsters and their families celebrated the start of the summer holidays in style by singing, dancing and partying at an annual festival.
Firthmoor Live is an annual family-friendly concert held at the Firthmoor Community Centre in Darlington, and this year's event saw packed crowds turn out in force once again.
The event sees a wide range of live acts taking to the outdoor stage, as well as bird displays, a table top market, food and beer tents.
Among those thrilling the crowds with performances this year were Darlington Mass Dance, Sonya Marie, Deadbolt, Charlea B, The Boyz, Darren Studley and Emma Wilson.
As well as the musical and dance entertainment, children enjoyed the face painting stalls, games, and inflatable "It's a Knockout" style challenges.
Cathii Kelly, who attended with her family said: "What a great day it has been, the kids have had so much fun, and it has just been lovely to see everyone together in the nice weather."
