RESIDENTS are to be consulted over plans to create up to 350 new homes.
The proposals cover a site on land at Nunthorpe Grange Farm, to the south of Middlesbrough, which is included in the borough council’s Local Plan.
A number of housing developments have been proposed for Nunthorpe in recent years which have proved controversial with sections of the local community.
The council’s masterplan for the site proposes a “unique and distinctive extension to the community of Nunthorpe’ consisting of ‘high quality, contemporary and spacious homes set within and around green spaces”.
Councillor Lewis Young, Middlesbrough Council’s executive member for economic development and Infrastructure, said it was committed to providing high quality family housing.
