SOME ideas for your evening's viewing.

Celebrity 5 Go Caravanning (C5, 8pm)

Arriving in Askrigg, North Yorkshire, Colin Baker, Sherrie Hewson, Todd Carty, Tony Blackburn and Sonia enlist the expertise of shepherdess Alison to explore the iconic landscape. Travelling on to historic Richmond, Tony and Sonia drop into the Angel Share bakery to sample traditional Yorkshire curd tarts, as actors Colin, Sherrie and Todd tread the boards at the Georgian Theatre Royal. Later, Sonia and Todd go in search of Whitby's famous fish and chips, while Sherrie, Tony and Colin travel back in time on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

The Big Narstie Show (Channel 4, 11.05pm)

If you've been watching The Big Narstie Show since it started last month, you'll have already seen guests including Ed Sheeran, Keith Lemon, Thandie Netwon and Craig David.

But if you still haven't checked it out, co-host and comedian Mo Gilligan is here to explain why you should give it a go. He says: "It's a show with a breath of fresh air really and I'm not just saying that because I'm on it. It's fun, it feels like it's been a long time coming for a show like this to be on TV. If I wasn't on it, I'd be watching it."

However, he is on it - and part of his job description is keeping order while grime MC and social media sensation Big Narstie lets loose. Mo explains: "My job is to make sure that it runs smoothly at times. It's a good job to have because I think we need Narstie to be himself, it wouldn't be a show if we restricted him and that's what makes him. He's 100% himself; he's funny, charming and just completely himself and I think that's what TV is missing sometimes."

However, that doesn't mean that Mo can't also go off-script - even when it comes to discussing the latest news and TV trends, including a certain reality show.

He explains: "There are times in the show where we talk about real world subjects, you know. Obviously we're going to talk about Love Island but then it's that kind of show, you never know what you're going to tune in to.

"There's going to be times we'll be talking about what everyone else is talking about but then we get to talk about what we want to talk about and I think that's the cool thing about the show really. You won't just sit there and be like 'oh it's gonna be a laugh like Love Island and all the rest' you just don't really know what to expect."

Co-hosting the series is part of Mo's impressive, social-media-fuelled rise to fame - just a year ago he was selling jeans for a living.

The comedian says: "The turnaround is quite phenomenal. There are times I've pinched myself.

"I remember when I did get the opportunity to do this show I was like 'wow, I'm gonna be on TV on Friday nights on Channel 4.' I grew up watching Channel 4; it has some of my favourite TV programmes. So now joining this channel, I still haven't fathomed that."

Perhaps he should get used to the idea - you wouldn't bet against him having his own series at some point. However, for now he's fighting against the idea that either he or Big Narstie will be professional hosts.

"We're not TV presenters. We're just two guys who are gonna give the nation a really funny TV show. To be fair, for me it's gonna be the TV show where you wanna be watching it when it happens. Yeah, it's definitely gonna have the nation talking."

Golf: The Open Championship Highlights (BBC2, 8pm)

Eilidh Barbour presents action from the second day of the prestigious event, which takes place at Carnoustie Golf Links in Angus, Scotland, as the players aimed to make the cut ahead of the weekend's play. Day two of last year's tournament at Royal Birkdale was blighted by testing weather conditions, which led to just eight players carding an under-par round. While eventual champion Jordan Spieth managed to take sole position at the top of the leaderboard following a one-under 69 to claim an overall score of six under par, a host of former champions would fare less well, as the likes of Phil Mickelson, Louis Oosthuizen and Darren Clarke missed the cut.

The Crystal Maze (C4, 8pm)

New series. The popular 1990s game show returns for a fifth run in its reworked, updated incarnation. Richard Ayoade guides five enthusiastic competitors, who are paid to play computer games for a living, on an epic adventure through four fantastical zones - Aztec, Medieval, Industrial and Futuristic. In each zone the team must tackle physical, skill, mystery and mental challenges in a bid to win crystals. These elusive crystals each give them five seconds inside the iconic Crystal Dome, where they hope to collect gold tokens to convert into prizes.
