CLEVELAND Bridge UK has appointed an experienced structural steel and civil infrastructure professional as its new senior business development manager.

Patrick Lawson has 25 years’ expertise in the steel fabrication industry combining extensive design experience with sales, focusing on developing strategic client relationships with tier one contractors.

His new role will focus on building upon Cleveland Bridge UK’s recent project successes to enhance its share of the UK infrastructure market, including the bridge, highways and rail sectors.

Mr Lawson joins the Darlington-based company from North Yorkshire structural steel business Severfield, where he was sales manager for almost three years.

“I was attracted by its brand, heritage and its recent successes, which have included delivering major road and rail crossings as part of national infrastructure projects.
