A MAN has been arrested following a rooftop standoff with police.
Officers were called to a property in Jude Place, Peterlee, shortly after 7.05am today following reports of a man on a garage roof.
A police spokesman said: “The 32-year-old man was brought down from the roof at 9.15am and arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and breach of a restraining order.
“He remains in custody in Peterlee.”
