A PHOTOGRAPHIC society is holding its annual exhibition, featuring dozens of images from around the North-East.
Around 65 prints will be on display at Durham Cathedral, which has hosted the exhibition for more than 20 years.
This year, Durham Photographic Society was asked to emphasise the rich heritage of the historical county of Durham, including parts of Tyneside, Wearside and Teesside.
Member David Trout said: “Members have risen to challenge with a wide variety of interpretations on this theme.”
The cathedral itself features among the photographs, which also includes images reflecting the region’s mining and rail heritage.
They will be displayed in the north aisle of the cathedral’s nave and Undercroft restaurant until August 31.
The Dean of Durham the Very Rev Andrew Tremlett will open the show on Tuesday, July 31, when he will present the society’s Ted Mansell Trophy to the photographer of his favourite picture.
