THE A1 has reopened following a mini-bus crash which closed the A1 northbound carriageway.
Traffic was diverted up and over Junction 59 (A167/Newton Aycliffe) following the smash which happened shortly before 3.10pm today.
A Durham Police spokesperson said a Peugeot mini-bus had collided with the temporary reservation.
There are no reports of injuries.
Traffic was queuing towards the scene of the incident - with congestion to Junction 58 (Burtree).
Motorists were being directed off the exit slip and rejoining via the entry slip, up and over the scene.
