YOUNG people had a chance to design and create their own graffiti boards with a professional artist.
About 26 young people from St Gregory’s Youth Club, which meets in Crakehall Village Hall near Bedale, had the chance to try out the art technique with Ged Walker, from Connecting Youth Culture (CYC).
Club organisers say the group meets once a month in order to give local young people from the community the chance to keep friendships alive once they leave the local primary school.
The club, which is ran by volunteers Gill Bartram, Colin Bartram, Trevor Starkey, Colin Bartram, Bob Shepherd and Louise Shepherd, are keen to continue planning special events and workshops at the club to keep it fresh and interesting.
Other recent sessions have seen young people get involved in “scrap drumming” and DJing.
