TWO men threatened a pedestrian walking home from a city centre with a plank of wood before stealing his bag and headphones.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the robbery which happened at about 4am on Sunday, June 24 in York, on a footpath between Scarborough Bridge and Aldborough Way.

Police say the victim, a 23-year-old local man, was uninjured, but headphones and an over-the-shoulder bag was stolen from him.

Police are now requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, they would like to hear from anyone who saw two men in the vicinity of Scarborough Bridge and Aldborough Way at 4am on Sunday, June 24.
