DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a stabbing in Chilton.
Police were called to Beverley Gardens at 3.13am today (Saturday).
A man in his early 30s had suffered minor injuries in a stabbing.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough,for treatment and has since been discharged.
Two men were arrested in connection with the incident.
They were interviewed and released pending further inquiries.
Acting Detective Sergeant Tom Edwards is appealing for anyone with information to call 101 and ask to speak to Bishop Auckland CID.
