A NEW film about Sir Bobby Robson is being shown to celebrate the World Cup.

The screening of Bobby Robson – More than a Manager, at Redhills, in Durham, will be followed a discussion and question and answer session with some of the people who knew him best.

The Robson family will be attending the event at the headquarters of the Durham Miners’ Association and the discussion panel includes Sir Bobby’s son Andrew Robson.

Other panellists include former Newcastle United player Olivier Bernard, former Newcastle and Ipswich player Charlie Woods and European Cup winner David Geddis.

It will be chaired by Louise Taylor, North East Football Correspondent for The Guardian.

Andrew Robson said: “My parents were born and raised in Durham, and, as well as dad, both my grandfathers were miners, so Redhills is a wonderful and fitting venue.

“The family is pleased to support this unique event, and we are looking forward to a very special evening.”

The event takes place during the World Cup, on Friday, June 29.

Doors open at 6pm and the film will start at 7pm, followed by an interval and the discussion at 9pm.

Tickets are £15 and are available at www.buytickets.at/redhillsdurham.

The event is being held in aid of the Bobby Robson Foundation.
