Table stolen

GARDEN furniture has been stolen from a property in Crook. The Rattan patio table and chairs were snatched from the front garden of the home in West End Villas sometime between 10.45pm on June 3 and 5.30am on June 4. Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time is asked to contact PCSO 8111 Davison of Crook Police Station on non-emergency 101, quoting crime reference number CRI00131135.

History group

SEDGEFIELD Family History Group will meet in the Methodist Hall at 7.15pm today. The evening will be a help night for anyone who needs assistance in researching their family history.

Festival help

PEOPLE interested in becoming a volunteer at this year’s Middlefest family-friendly music festival are invited to an informal meeting to talk to the organisers and find out how they can get involved. The meeting will be at the event venue, Misty Blue Farm, Kirk Merrington, near Spennymoor, on Saturday, June 30, 1pm to 4pm. Middlefest will be held on Saturday, July 28.

Flower demo

SEDGEFIELD, Ferryhill and District Flower Club will meet in Sedgefield Parish Hall at 7.30pm tomorrow. Demonstrator Irene Parker will present ‘Watch this Space’. Entry is free for members and £5 for non-members.

Village auction

A FUNDRAISING auction will take place at Rookhope Village Hall at 11am on Saturday June 30. Donations of goods are welcome and can be brought to the hall before June 28. Viewing will be from 6pm and 7pm on the Friday and on the morning of the sale.

Coffee morning

SEDGEFIELD, Ferryhill and District Flower Club will hold a coffee morning in Sedgefield Parish Hall from 10am until 11.30am on Friday, June 22. Everyone welcome.
