A SPECTACULAR garden is opening its gates to the public for a two-day fundraising event.

Mike Heagney, who has dedicated years creating his stunning garden, will be offering people the chance to explore the five acre site in Guisborough, east Cleveland, this weekend.

Tudor Croft, which has featured on BBC' Gardeners' World, is made up of several small garden spaces with countless hidden gems tucked away throughout, including a newly created fern garden.

Mr Heagney said: "In a date change from previous years, this year we are opening for two days in June, so many different flowers will be at their peak, including a wide variety of roses.

"We also have a completely new and beautiful fern garden which is both soft and architectural, and other new features and plantings."

Throughout the event, there will be live music, plant and craft sales, and afternoon teas at the garden, on Stokesley Road, Guisborough.

The specialist garden designer will be opening his garden on Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 4pm to raise funds for the Middlesbrough Lourdes Fund.
