AN ARTIST who has recently been crowned the UK's most popular selling artist 2018 has created an impression of Welcome to Yorkshire's gold medal-winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden.
Lucy Pittaway, who has galleries in Richmond and Brompton on Swale, has painted a limited edition picture called A Yorkshire Garden, which depicts a summer scene in the countryside.
It features green pastures, summer plants and flowers, a cultivated cottage garden, and a tumbling fresh water beck frame an imposing stone bothy.
She said: "I was proud to be asked to paint Welcome to Yorkshire’s garden and even more so when I saw the design. It epitomises the natural beauty of Yorkshire’s green land with its cascading streams and wild flowers coupled with the heritage of the drystone walls and the bothy. I only hope I have done it justice in my interpretation.”
