A BUSY A road will be closed for resurfacing work this week.
The A68 through Toft Hill will be closed from Saturday, May 26 to Friday, June 1 for the work but will exclude Bank Holiday Monday.
The road will be closed from the junction at the Three Tuns pub to White House Lane End bus stop and diversions will be in place.
Durham County Council is asking residents who park on the A68 to move all vehicles from 7am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday and from 9am until 3.30pm Tuesday to Friday.
Access will still be available to Willow Court, Southfield Drive, Lilac Way, Maple Court and Chestnut Court with the use of traffic signals.
A council supervisor will also be on site at all times if residents need help or you can call the Highways Action Line on03000-261000.
