POLICE investigating a burglary at an auction mart have appealed for information from the public.
The break-in is believed to have happened overnight on Saturday, May 12, into Sunday, May 13.
At around 12.30am a man is suspected of targetting Barnard Castle Auction Mart, on Vere Road.
One male suspect is thought to have forced entry by smashing the external alarm box before pulling off the premises lock by unknown means.
Whilst inside, the suspect searched the premises before making off in an unknown direction.
A spokesperson for Durham police said it is not known what has been taken at this time.
Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Durham Constabulary on 101 quoting reference number 25 of May 13.
