THE spotlight has fallen on a student with West End aspirations as she and a schoolmate have been recognised for their endeavours.
Northallerton School and Sixth Form College students Theodora Crocker and Joe Barron were awarded the Cuthbert Cross for their contribution to school life.
First awarded in 1910, the silver cross is given annually to a boy and girl who “by loyal chivalrous and honourable conduct have done the most to enhance the character and reputation of the school”.
Theodora, 18, is a singer and actor and has just enjoyed a leading role in the school production of 9-5. She hopes to read musical theatre at the University of Chichester with the ultimate aim of treading the boards in the West End.
Joe was part of the student leadership team and an active fundraiser for charitable causes. A keen footballer, swimmer and water polo player, he plans to read fitness and nutrition at Leeds Trinity University.
