A CYCLIST was taken to hospital with a fractured jaw and eye socket after being involved with a collision with a vehicle on Thursday night.
The 41-year-old was on Staithes Road at its junction with Huntcliffe Avenue in Dormanstown in Redcar at 11.20pm when the collision took place.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where he received treatment for his injuries, and he was later released.
Cleveland Police are asking for anyone with information on who was driving the car, which failed to stop at the scene, to come forward with any information or dash cam footage.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Jayson Morris of the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit via 101, quoting Event 88150.
