A NEW events leaflet has been produced to make sure no-one misses out on a summer of fun in Darlington.

Highlights include the biggest ever Mass Dance event in the town centre on Sunday, the Darlo Dines Out Food and Drink Festival featuring top TV chefs across the coming May Bank Holiday Weekend.

Food fans are expected to come flocking to the town centre from what promises to be the biggest food festival of its kind in the town sets up in the Market Square.

Michelin award winning TV chef Jean-Christophe Novelli and BBC fusion chef Aazam Ahmad will be cooking up a storm in a special marquee.

They will be joined by a huge range of the region’s finest food producers, showcasing their culinary delights across the town.

Councillor Chris McEwan, Darlington Borough Council’s cabinet member for economy and regeneration, said: “The town centre is set to come to life this summer with a host of events that will appeal to all the family.

“We often hear from people that they missed out on an event because they didn’t know it was happening, so we decided to put together a leaflet showing what’s on for the whole season to make sure everyone has the chance to take part.”

The leaflet containing full details of the summer programme is available online at www.darlington.gov.uk/your-council/events/events/ or at a number of venues across the town.
