A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a car was spotted being driven 'erratically' last night.
Cleveland and Durham's Road Policing Unit (RPU) noticed the car, a Vauxhall Astra, travelling on the A19 northbound near Stockton.
Officers stopped the car and said it allegedly smelt strongly of cannabis.
A post on the Cleveland and Durham RPU Facebook page said: " A young male driver provided a positive saliva sample for cannabis and cocaine and was arrested on suspicion of driving over the limit of drugs and driving whilst unfit through drugs.
"Bloods have been taken and the results of the lab analysis will determine if the male is charged."
