A PHOTOGRAPHY exhibition will celebrate the work of two local artists.
Saltburn Studios and Gallery is hosting the work by resident artists Charles Twist and Caed Parker – who are known for running Dr Twist’s Photographarium, which is a recreation of a century-old portrait studio, complete with bellows camera, painted backdrop and costumes.
The pair print their sepia portraits on site, in front of the public, using a custom-built mini-darkroom, with all the chemistry of the original 1890s recipe.
The show, which opens on Saturday, May 19 at the gallery on Marske Road, will explain the process behind the Photographarium.
The free exhibition will be open at weekends from noon till 4pm or by appointment only.
