PEOPLE are being urged to give their old clothes and shoes to support the Bradley Lowery Foundation.

The charity, set up in memory of the brave six-year-old from Blackhall Colliery, in County Durham, is hoping the partnership with Clothes Aid will help them raise £20,000 a year.

The charity is working with other sick children and their families, including Alex Grant, from Greatham, near Hartlepool, who was born with an ear condition called Microtia.

His family have launched the Ear for Alex campaign to raise enough money to send him to the US for treatment to reconstruct his ear and restore his hearing.

Lynn Murphy, from the Bradley Lowery Foundation said: “We are so excited with this new partnership. We have tremendous support from our community and I know residents will dig deep to their wardrobes and help us help our fantastic kids like Alex.”

Clothes Aid are delivering bags throughout the North-East, which people can fill with clothes, shoes and accessories, which will be collected on a nominated day.

Businesses, schools and community groups can also arrange their own collections.

Michael Lomotey, from Clothes Aid said: “We have high hopes for this partnership and our local depot and staff are thrilled to be supporting a charity so close to their hearts and home.”
