MORE than 450 women descended on Durham City for this month’s annual meeting of the North-East Trefoil Guild.
Women travelled from all parts of the region representing Trefoil Guilds stretching from Northumberland down to Lincolnshire North.
Trefoil Guild is guiding for adults and is a branch of Girlguiding where members can find friendship, get active, get involved and give support.
The annual meeting, which was being held in the Gala Theatre, Durham, was hosted by the Durham South, which has guilds in Darlington, Teesdale, Wolsingham, Chester-le-Street, Sedgefield and Durham City.
Among the guests were the Lord Lieutenant of Durham, Sue Snowdon, who was also guest speaker, and the Lord Major of Durham, Bill Kellett.
The meeting was under the chair of Sheila Jackson, new regional Trefoil president, supported by the regional team.
