SPRING has sprung in grand fashion at Constable Burton Hall, where thousands of daffodils are putting on a vibrant floral display.
The Wensleydale stately home is celebrating its Tulip Festival from Saturday to Monday, May 5 to 7, and its owners, including Imogen Wyvill, hope the tulips will be in full bloom in time to celebrate the coming of the Tour de Yorkshire.
The Richmond to Scarborough leg of the cycle race will pass the hall on Saturday, May 5, and the Wyvill family which own Constable Burton Hall said they hoped visitors would be able to enjoy the race as well as the stunning array of spring florals in the grounds.
The hall stands in extensive woodland and formal gardens open to the public from mid-March to mid-September, and boasts seasonal displays of snowdrops and daffodils carpeting the garden trails and woodland walks.
