IN training they are fiercely competitive, but when one steps into the ring the other two are their biggest fans.

And that level of drive and support is serving Sonny, Brooks and Konniegrace Sowerby well as the siblings have just landed five Thai boxing titles in three weeks.

Nicknamed Sun, Moon and Star by their coaches, the trio have competed in more than 50 fights between them since taking up Muay Thai two and half years ago.

Most recently Sonny, 13, won British and Anglo-Scottish titles; Brooks, 12, won an Anglo-Scottish belt for his age group and 'Crazy' Konniegrace landed WTKA and K1 Yokkoa UK Open championships.

Parents Joanne Railton and Stephen Sowerby, of Bishop Auckland, introduced them to Thai boxing and mixed martial arts to occupy them.

They train at the Erawan Academy, in Trimdon Grange, and Yodphet Muay Thai Gym, in Chester-le-Street.

Miss Rialton said: "They love it. They train every day and are determined to be the best they can be. We're really proud."

Brother Kenneth, 17, used to box and four-year-old sister Braxie-Lyra is keen to start.
