TWO TEENAGERS have pleaded not guilty to planning to murder teachers and students at a school in North Yorkshire.
The two boys, who were aged 14 at the time of their arrest, appeared at Leeds Crown Court today (Wednesday, April 18), where they entered formal pleas at a pre-trial review.
The boys, now aged 15, have pleaded not guilty to conspiring to murder staff and students at a school in North Yorkshire between December 31 2016 and October 29, 2017. The school and the two teenagers cannot be named for legal reasons.
One of the older of the two boys is also facing two further charges.
He is accused of aggravated burglary on October 21 last year.
It is alleged he entered a property in North Yorkshire with a knife with the intention of inflicting Grevious Bodily Harm on a woman in the home.
He is also accused of maliciously wounding a female on September 4, 2017
He has entered a not guilty plea to both the charges.
The trial is set to begin at Leeds Crown Court on May 3.
