FAMILIES who enjoyed a farm fun day at Witton Castle, near Bishop Auckland, on Sunday helped raise more than £1,000 for The Butterwick Hospice.
Hospice fundraiser Milly Toner thanked events management students from Leeds Beckett University who worked with the charity as part of their degree to hold the event.
She said: "They did a great job and we had a fun packed day with everyone who attended, we had over 200 attendees.
"Also a massive thank you to everyone who attended the event."
