LIBRARIES are hosting a number of hands-on activities this Easter to keep children entertained throughout the schools holidays.

Children can get creative and use their imagination to decorate fairy houses in Chilton library on Monday, April 9, from 2.15pm to 3.15pm or drop in to Easington Colliery library to decorate wooden heart magnets throughout the day tomorrow and on Saturday.

Trimdon library is hosting an egg decorating session tomorrow, from 10am to noon, and Peterlee library is running a crafts and face painting session on Tuesday, April 10, from 10.30am until noon.

At Barnard Castle library, youngsters can make pot plant animals on Wednesday, April 11 at 2pm.

Or pop into Durham Clayport library for spring crafts sessions on Saturday and Saturday, April 14, from 10am to noon.

The charge is £1 per child.
