HC-ONE’S Fleming Court Care Home in Jesmond, is celebrating the success of its resident liaison officer, Marion McAndrew, who received a Kindness in Care Award for her work.

The Kindness in Care Awards programme was launched by HC-One, a health and social care provider, in October 2013 to recognise the efforts of their kindest colleagues, and the impact they have on the lives of residents and their loved ones.

Last month, 230 awards were presented to colleagues, volunteers, and whole teams within the family of homes that HC-One operates across the UK.

Marion was nominated for ‘always going over and above’ to make residents, colleagues and families feel supported.

“Marion is always there to lend a helping hand, ensure Residents are happy and deliver the very kindest care possible,” said Tracy Hindmarch, HC-One area director.

HC-One Fleming Court Care Home Manager, Mark Culley, said: “I am so delighted and very proud that Marion has been recognised for all her hard work. She is a pleasure to work with, and always goes that extra mile to deliver to the kindest care to Residents. She is a much valued member of the team and an asset to the home.”

Fleming Court Care Home is hosting a free open day on Saturday, from 10am to 4pm, with a falconry display, raffle, cake contest and afternoon tea.
