APPEAL: Police want information about a crash on the A19
ACCIDENT investigators are appealing for help to establish the cause of a crash between Durham and Sunderland last night.
A stretch of the A19 southbound was shut overnight following the collision, near the A690 junction.
Witnesses said it appeared to have been a serious collision, which was on the border of Durham police's area with that of Northumbria police.
The investigation into the cause is being managed by Durham Constabulary and anyone with information is asked to contact them on 101, quoting log 460 of 200318.
