AN elderly man has been burgled while sitting in his living room.
Three men turned off the electricity via the external meter box before entering the address on Lee Terrace, Shotton Colliery, near Peterlee at about 9.45pm on Monday.
The victim left his disabled grandson in the living room while he entered the kitchen with a torch. He found three males inside.
The intruders demanded money to which the victim said he has none.
Two of the three suspects made their way upstairs ransacking the property whilst the other suspect watched over the victim.
All three men left the house without any property and fled possibly by motorbike in an unknown direction.
Anyone with any information should contact Durham Police on 101, quoting reference 446 of March 12.
