A BUILDING control company has undergone a restructure in a management buyout.

Aedis Regulatory Services, Aedis Warranties and Aedis Training and Development are now under the full control of director Joe Ayre.

Aedis Regulatory Services began trading in 2009 and during that time Mr Ayre has overseen significant growth in both the scale and coverage of the business.

Its businesses operate from 23 offices throughout England and Wales and have more than 120 full-time staff.

Its head office is based on Darlington’s Morton Palms business park, with a business support team operating out of Newcastle.

Mr Ayre said: “I’m delighted to be heading up a team of dedicated staff who are committed to supporting our clients and delivering on our business goals.

“The buyout provides a perfect opportunity to restructure the management team with a new board of directors being appointed.

“The new board provides a greater breadth of knowledge and skills and ensures we can continually challenge and assess what we do.”

The Northern Echo last year reported how Aedis had secured a Falkland Islands contract to help the South Atlantic archipelago’s government ensure new building work complied with regulations.
