NIGHTCLUB: Spensley's in Albert Road, Middlesbrough
POLICE investigating an alleged rape on New Year's Eve have made an arrest.
Cleveland Police have arrested a 21-year-old man after reports of a rape at Spensley's in Albert Road, Middlesbrough, between 2.30am and 3.30am on Sunday, December 31 last year.
He has been released on conditional police bail while inquiries continue.
Last month, police released CCTV footage and put posters outside the nightclub and along the pathways leading to it, to try and jog the memories of people out in the town centre the night before New Year’s Eve.
