A HOME for adults with learning disabilities has been given a clean bill of health by care inspectors.

Highview House, in Kirk Merrington, was rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.

The report followed an unannounced two-day inspection of the home, which cares for and accommodates up to eight people with learning disabilities, in December. Assessors also spoke with relatives and health and social care professionals.

They found people who used the service received care and support from exceptionally well trained and well supported staff.

CQC assessors felt it was outstanding for being effective, responsive and well-led, and good for safe and caring.

Highview House, ran by Resolve (Care Northern) Limited, was also rated outstanding at its previous inspection in 2015.
