RAIL services which faced disruption due to a broken down train are back up and running.
The broken down vehicle was blocking the line between Heighington and Bishop Auckland this morning.
Services between the two stations were suspended and staff were on site dealing with the incident from around 8am.
Replacement transport was provided but customers experienced delays as services were unable to call at Bishop Auckland, Shildon, Newton Aycliffe, Heighington and North Road Station in Darlington.
More information is available online at northernrailway.co.uk/stations and select the station you are travelling from.
