A GALLERY'S spring exhibition of art, craft and design work opens next week.
The Biscuit Factory, in Newcastle, will display contemporary paintings, prints, sculpture, glass and ceramics from more than 250 artists and makers from Friday.
Cornish artist John Brenton headlines with a collection of sea and landscape paintings of some of the North East's favourite locations.
June Berry, whose work has featured in collections of the Queen and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, will be a highlight and Print & Press celebrates printmaking through work by tutor Carol Nunan and students.
Visitors can explore the gallery’s new contemporary craft and design space and there will be a collection of botanical-themed jewellery.
The exhibition launches with a free event on Friday, from 6pm to 9pm, with a range of pop-ups and demonstrations from local creatives including Hexham Book Festival, The Crafthood and florist Wildflower. It runs until May 20, is open every day and admission is free.
