CANADIAN comic Bobby Mair is set to bring his debut UK tour, Loudly Insecure, to the region next month.

The comedian, who started his career in Toronto before moving to London in 2011, will be performing at The Witham, in Barnard Castle, on Friday, March 2, at 8pm.

Recently, Mair has supported the likes of top international comics Bill Burr and Doug Stanhope on tour and is also a seasoned panellist on shows such as 8 out of 10 Cats and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Co-starring fiancee, Harriet Kemsley, the show follows the pair's "dysfunctional journey towards their impending marriage".

Mair said: “After six years of calling the UK my home, I’m finally doing my first solo stand-up tour here. It’s a great show and I’m really proud of it.”

Peter Dixon of Funny Way To Be Comedy said: “We met up with Bobby in Edinburgh last summer and his show was one of the highlights of our festival visit. It was full of energy and a delight to see.”

Support for the evening will be Jonny Pelham, who will be returning to Funny Way To Be Comedy in Barnard Castle.

Tickets, priced £12.50, are available from funnywaytobe.com and the Witham Box Office. Suitable for those aged 16 and over. The café/bar will be open from 7pm.
