VOLUNTEERS at an award-winning theatre have pulled out all the stops to get new costumes made in time for this year’s season of tours.
Richmond’s Georgian Theatre Royal is using costumes to teach audiences about 18th century life when it opens its doors next week.
The latest costumes have been made by members of The Georgian Theatre Royal Costume Project, which has been supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the recent redevelopment.
Over two years, volunteers have researched costumes which will be displayed in the museum, worn by guides and tried on by visitors in the dressing-up area.
