A WORLD famous orchestra is preparing to entertain audiences in Darlington.
The Halle, founded by Sir Charles Halle, gave its first concert in 1858 and now stages more than 100 concerts a year around the country.
Now in its 159th season and ranked amongst the UK's top symphonic ensembles, the orchestra will perform at the refurbished Darlington Hippodrome on Monday, February 26.
Conductor Jonathon Heyward will lead the orchestra in a show that will open with music from Grieg’s Peer Gynt, including the Hall of the Mountain King.
