FIREFIGHTERS have pulled a dog from a river after it swept away.
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service posted a picture on social media after they rescued Solo this morning.
They wrote: "Rescued a very soggy doggy from the River Skerne this morning.
"Solo the spaniel fell into the river near ALDI on North Road and was swept a mile when crews pulled him out near to the fire station."
