PROTESTORS have continued their anti-fracking stance by taking part in another slow walk.

Three anti-fracking campaigners walked in front of tankers on Habton Road at Kirby Misperton, when they were on their way to the hydraulic fracturing site.

North Yorkshire Police attended the incident, which took place from 9.30am to 9.50am this morning.

The group walked along Habton Road, delaying the two-vehicle convoy by 20 minutes.

During the slow walk, local traffic was able to pass.

Superintendent Alisdair Dey, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “We support and protect people engaged in safe, reasonable and peaceful protests at Kirby Misperton.

“That means balancing the needs and wishes of everyone involved, including protesters, businesses and local residents.”

Third Energy have been carrying out preparatory work at the Kirby Misperton well-site since September.

However, their operations have been repeatedly disrupted by the actions of protestors.
