HOW a woman’s body came to be found on a quiet residential street is being treated as “unexplained”.
Paramedics discovered the body on Bewley Grove, in the Acklam area of Middlesbrough on Friday afternoon.
Witnesses reported that around eight police cars attended the scene after being called by North East Ambulance Service staff at around 2.20pm.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “The body is yet to be formally identified and enquiries are at an early stage.”

The cul-de-sac is flanked by large semi-detached homes and lies off Hall Drive, opposite Marton Football Club and near Acklam Hall.
On Saturday morning, Cleveland Police confirmed that “the death is being treated as unexplained at this time and enquiries are ongoing”.
