ADVICE has been issued by Richmondshire and Hambleton councils to check their websites to ensure Christmas bin collections aren’t missed.
Refuse and recycling collections will be affected by the Christmas and New Year holidays and residents are being urged to make sure they recycle everything suitable over the festive period.
Paul Staines, director of environment for Hambleton Council, said: “If you need to contain extra recycling over Christmas and New Year then clear recycling sacks are available from the district council offices in Northallerton, Easingwold and Stokesley or you can ask your recycling collection crew for some.”
In Richmondshire there will be a special collection of Christmas trees and garden waste between January 8 and 18 for residents subscribing to the green bin collection service.
