COMEDIAN Roy Chubby Brown will be seeing off the January blues when he heads to the North-East early next year.

The controversial star will appear at The Lancastrian Suite in Gateshead on Friday, January 12.

Renowned as the ‘bad boy of British comedy’, Roy Chubby Brown is generally deemed too racy for TV, so fans can only usually get to see him when he performs live.

Born and bred in East Yorkshire, he got his big TV break on New Faces in 1970 and has gone on to become an infamous figure on Britain’s comedy circuit.

His January show will feature an as yet unnamed support act, and is strictly for over 18s only. Tickets cost £20 each.
