A TEENAGER had to be taken to hospital after his scooter was involved in a collision.

The 16-year-old was hurt when he was knocked off his machine on Cargo Fleet Lane in Middlesbrough.

The incident happened at around 8.50am on Wednesday and the teenager suffered a broken elbow and bruising.

He was taken to the James Cook University Hospital for treatment and was later allowed home.
