A LORRY which broke down while leaving a service station blocking a road in both directions caused long delays for motorists on Thursday morning.
The lorry was attempting to turn right on to the A688 near Bowburn when it broke down.
Traffic queued as a result close to the A1 Junction 61 (for the A177/B6291 Bowburn).
The lorry has now been recovered and the road has been reopened.
