A WOMAN'S body has been found on a beach.
At 7.30am today, police received reports that a body had been found on Whitby beach.
"Officers attended the scene, near the cliff lift, following the call from a member of the public who was walking their dog," say North Yorkshire Police.
"Ambulance crews and the coastguard also attended and, sadly, the woman was pronounced dead.
"Officers are currently working to confirm the her identity.
"Police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident."
