POLICE are continuing to investigate a suspected arson attack at a County Durham farm.
The fire ripped through Satley Farm, near Lanchester, last Wednesday, destroying 400 bales of straw, a tractor, trailer, fertiliser spreader and a bin of grain.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers have today carried out a victim revisit relating to suspected arson which took place last week ago with extensive damage caused as pictured.
"A police investigation is currently underway in relation to this report which has impacted significantly on the victim.
"Should you have any information in relation to the fire, or have seen anyone acting suspiciously in and around the area of Satley last Wednesday, please contact police on 101 and quote crime reference: CRI00091780."
The blaze took dozens of firefighters more than 24 hours to extinguish. The fire was only feet away from a barn containing cattle which managed to remain unscathed.
Farmer David Walker, 65, said the fire had had a drastic impact on the family, which has been passed down the generations since 1880.
